Phase One: Pre-Pour Inspection
The first phase is to have an inspection of the home site prior to the slab being poured. There are a few problems that can occur with a new foundation, and you lose the chance to correct them once the concrete is poured. For example:
1. Foundation was installed with the wrong plans.
2. Foundation was installed with the wrong size/type of materials.
3. Foundation installed without correcting grading/drainage issues.
The Pre-Pour inspection ensures that the foundation is laid correctly, according to the plans, using the correct materialsa and taking grading and drainage into account to prevent future problems.
